Keith E. Kingery
Memorial services for Keith E. Kingery, 83 will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009, at Reid’s Funeral Chapel, 423 Bradford Street, Marble Rock, with Pastor Ashok Patet officiating. Burial will be in the Westside Cemetery, Marble Rock with military honors conducted by Tack Barnett Post 268 of Greene.
Keith Everett Kingery was born January 11, 1926 in Marble Rock, a son of Darrell and Osea P. (Hesalroad) Kingery, and died February 28, 2009, in Tucson, Az.
He married Pauline A. Thieman on October 2, 1948 in Waukeegan, Illinois.
She preceded him in death in 1983. He later married Donna Robinson in 1988.
He graduated from the Marble Rock High School where he played basketball. Following graduation he enlisted in the armed forces as a Merchant Marine where he served in the Pacific Ocean during World War II.
Keith worked as a typesetter and proof reader for various newspapers including the Waterloo Courier where he worked for many years. He and Donna eventually retired to Tucson, Arizona. Keith enjoyed watching college basketball and was a huge fan of the Arizona Wildcats. He and Donna celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on November 11, 2008.
Keith is survived by his wife Donna, one son Michael (Jimi Jo) Kingery of Garner; two daughters, Sandra (Bob) Trumbauer of Waterloo, Debra Barker of West Des Moines; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; one step-daughter, Raynelle (Dean) Duhl of Tucson, Az., three step-sons: Dennis (Renee) Robinson of Tucson,Az,.Tim (Debbie) Robinson of Evansdale, and Rick (Sharon) Robinson of Denver, and eight step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Pauline, his son Richard, and his sister Ethel.
Memorial arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Chapel, 423 Bradford Street, Marble Rock.
